About us

The Full Story

The charity was established in 1972, initially to create what is now the Mt Edgecombe Hospice in East Cornwall. In the last 40 years it has evolved into the charity it has become today, supporting local people who are affected by cancer. The charity works closely with Derriford hospital to support patients under their care.

The charity has two shops, one in Hyde Park in Mutley Plain, Plymouth and one in Yelverton. Our charity shop in Plymouth has been running since September 1997 and the Yelverton shop was opened in 2022. Each shop is run by a group of over 20 volunteers supported by part time Managers.

It is through these shops that the the majority of of income is generated.

We are always looking for donations of clothes or bric-a-brac.
